My boyfriend(33) of three years used to call me every single night, before we go to bed. He recently said that I don’t call him anymore. I told him I stopped calling because he didn’t answer the phone when I did call because he would fall asleep or whatever. At times, he’ll call me back. But now, I just let him call me if he wants to. However, he hasn’t called me still even after our conversation 2 days ago.

We text everyday. But back then, he would always call me when I wake up in the mornings. And we would talk at night before bed. Now we just simply text. Low key I miss our old routines and hearing him gets my day going. Now it’s like he doesn’t care. Should something like this be brought up to him, or is this a dealbreaker altogether?

  1. You can bring it up with him but why should it be a deal-breaker? Each relationship is different but personally I would find the daily call hard to maintain long-term. The fact you’ve been doing it for three years already is great.

Communication is key. If it’s that important to you, say that you miss it. However life happens, there could be various reasons it doesn’t occur. Sometimes you/he might be out late, or it’s been a long day so it just gets missed.
