I (24F) have been FWB with this guy (24M) I met on Tinder a couple months ago. In a shocking twist of events, I think we might be catching feelings for each other. It’s exciting, but the reason I wanted a FWB is because I’m going through a difficult time.

I moved out on my own for the first time a year ago, and I have struggled managing my life since. I’m in the process of picking up the pieces, but it’s not easy and causes me a significant amount of emotional distress. I didn’t think it would be fair to drag anyone into this, but I’m a human with a sex drive and wanted someone trustworthy to sleep with. Of course, being human, I developped feelings for this really great guy. And I’m pretty sure it’s reciprocal.

I have good friends and I’m seeing a new therapist soon, so if I did bring him into my life, he wouldn’t be my whole support system. Still, is it possible to foster a healthy relationship while going through a difficult time? Have any of you done it? Any advice or tips? Or would it be best to let him go?

TLDR: This guy and I like each other, but I’m going through a difficult time. Is it possible to start a healthy relationship while dealing with emotional distress, or should I let him go?
