I was browsing reddit, as you do and I noticed a sponsored post which was just a recipe for a pork based meal. Turns out there’s a bunch of “Love Pork” stuff out there. I was wondering if you guys knew why someone is advertising using pork? Does anyone stand to benefit from this? Is there a big pork lobby in the UK?

  2. >The Lovepork website has been created by AHDB [the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board] Pork, the body responsible for enhancing and supporting the English pig farming industry.

    >Lovepork.co.uk has been created with the principle aim of providing recipe inspiration to encourage people to cook with pork at home, and to provide information about pork, pork cuts and how healthy pork can be.

  3. They’re jumping on the bandwagon that bird flu is going to take chicken off the supermarket shelves and hoping to get people into the frame of mind of buying pork instead.

  4. It’s the Agriculture Board just trying to drive up usage again. Because too many people are moving to plant based.

They did this years ago with the adverts featuring famous cricketers who had “meaty” names.
