Long story short, the ex doesn’t want anything to do with him, to the point where she has a restraining order against him. He’ll be seeing her at court soon, so I think him getting her art tattooed is a grand gesture to show her that he still wants her back.

It felt a little disrespectful that he got it, while we were still “talking.” Seems like he’s not really over her. I even asked who designed it, and he said “A friend”

Even in the future if we reconnect and things work out, I don’t know how comfortable I would feel seeing a tattoo dedicated to her

  1. That’s a no from me. If I was dating someone that had a tattoo related somehow to an ex that wouldn’t bother me. If I were dating someone who got a tattoo related to an ex I would be out that day

  2. Location of tattoo? (forehead, or?)

How long since they broke up? I’d be less worried if that were more than two years’ ago.

*She*, has a restraining order against, *him*? This has disaster written all over it imo.

  3. Run

If his ex is going to the extreme of getting a restraining order, he might not be well mentally…

You might be the next filling for a restraining order

  4. Holy shit, get AWAY from that situation. Landmines everywhere.

If it was something he had done a long time ago, that would be one thing. But he got it while you two were talking? She has a *restraining order* on him?

They don’t just hand out restraining orders to anyone who asks. You have to justify it in court, and demonstrate reasonable fear for your safety. You can deduce that he’s been acting dangerously and inappropriately towards his ex. You want to take a chance with that?

  5. Forget the tattoo, someone has a restraining order against him. He then went out and got her work done on him, emphasis being on that very same person who has a restraining order against him.

None of us know what it means but c’mon. Does that really sound like somebody you really want to reconnect with? After being lucky by getting out early the first time?
