Hi all!
My mom is currently in the US and wants to bring things home, asks me what I want. Honestly aside from froot loops and mac and cheese I can’t think of anything, so let me know what American snack or dish I should try! Preferably products that can be stored over longer periods of time. What your fav snack, sauce for buffalo wings, drinks etc?!

A bottle of local BBQ sauce.
Franks Red Hot buffalo sauce.
Local BBQ sauce
Local hot sauce
Local honey
Local salsa
I guess the theme is get her to bring you some local stuff. You can often find jars/bottles at the local grocery store or farmer’s market.
Sour patch kids
Snyder’s of Hanover honey mustard & onion pretzels (not sure if these are already available International)
Make sure its something you can bring back as food is usually restricted when entering a foreign country.
Have her go to Trader Joes and pick up a condiment that looks good. She can ask “I’m traveling here, do you have any interesting condiments for a gift”, because it will depend on what is in stock. You can also do this with cookies and stuff. TJ’s produces a lot of cult hits that aren’t necessarily American classics but are widely popular.
If you want a specific suggest: get their [dill pickle mustard](https://www.traderjoes.com/home/products/pdp/dill-pickle-mustard-071345).
Blenheim’s Ginger Ale, Cheerwine, White Fudge Covered Oreos.
Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing
Where is she currently at? Probably able to find a subreddit for that State or even city with people willing to give suggestions of their local stuff
Bourbon
Peanut butter so you can see how it compares to the version they sell by you.
Ranch salad dressing
Peanut butter
Anything from Tastykake. Nobody bakes a cake as tasty.
Chick-fil-A sauce
You can buy Froot Loops at many grocery stores in Germany. I’m certain you can find it in your country. It’s the same with macaroni and cheese. In fact, it’s probably sold in cans in your country at any of your grocery stores.
I’d recommend chips in flavors other than paprika.
A friend in Finland always has me bring Peanut M&Ms and Peanut Butter M&Ms
Nacho cheese Doritos. I’ve heard they’re different in Europe.
Albanese gummy bears. I know, it sounds dumb. But they are nonperishable and absolutely amazing.
Microwave popcorn if you don’t have it at home.
Where are you? My French team loved the flamin hot Cheetos I brought them last week. They also want marshmallow fluff but I couldn’t bring it in my carryon.
Salt water taffy if she can find it.
Old trapper beef jerky or some local brand.
Marshmallow fluff – look next to the peanut butter in the grocery store!
Hot sauces. Get several bottles of different varieties. Europe is woefully inadequate in this area. Make sure sriracha is one of them.
Chili con carne spices. Again, Europe doesn’t have good options here. Paprika is not an equivalent.
Good bourbon. Also hard to find in Europe.
Twinkies.
If youre anywhere near Texas get a seasoning called “Good Shit.” One of the better blends Ive tried for simple home cooking. They also have other seasoning blends like “Chicken Shit” as well as others
* A small jar of Jif peanut butter.
* Some Little Debbie snack cakes/treats
* A bottle of Cholula hot sauce
* Graham crackers, marshmallows & Hershey bars (s’mores kit)
The best cereal is Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds, in case they don’t sell that where you live.
Different BBQ sauces are good. Personally I like Carolina Gold style the best.
Any and all snacks and sauces from Trader Joe’s. The Carolina gold BBQ sauce is to die for.
Takis.
Maple sugar, if in the north-east. It’s impossible to get outside USA (and Canada).
What country are you from?
Secret Ardvark
You should probably make homemade Mac and cheese. Store bought Mac and cheese is nasty
sweet baby ray’s bbq sauce. sriracha sauce, old bay seasoning, tabasco, chicago steak seasoning, root beer, twizzlers
Ranch- hidden valley, peanut butter laura scutters? Is a good brand, or a natural one with the oil on top.
ranch
Slim Jim or other jerky.
Old Bay seasoning
Dot’s Pretzels.
Idk Chick-fil-A sauce?
I’m an American living in the EU. Ranch dressing is a popular “bring back” item.
