Personally I think one day we will solve who the Zodiac Killer was most likely by the same means in which we solved who the Golden State killer was. As for never being solved I don’t think we will ever learn who killed Elizabeth Short aka the black dahlia or where Billy the Kids real grave is.

  1. When space travel advances far enough for us to cross the galaxy and we reach the Delta Quadrant, we will discover what really happened to Amelia Earhart

  2. Robert Graysmith made a pretty good case for Arthur Leigh Allen being the Zodiac. They included this in the 2008 film dramatization directed by David Fincher, which was based on Graysmith’s books.

  3. The Jonbenet Ramsey case is being reopened by a cold case team, apparently. I’m still doubtful we’ll ever *really* know what happened to her, but there’s at least a possibility that a lot more new information may be coming in that.

For a non-true-crime mystery, I don’t think we’ll ever know for sure [which industry is the secret ‘biggest buyer’ of glitter](https://www.reddit.com/r/BestofRedditorUpdates/comments/vwcnrb/not_all_that_glitters_is_solved_which_industry_is/) though I lean towards the theory that it’s likely that the buyer is buying a precursor product and not finished glitter (the ‘but what if it’s paint?’ theories drove me nuts because ‘what if there’s glitter in this glittery paint?’ is not a mystery!!!)

  4. I heard a very convincing arguement that DB Cooper was a CIA operative involved in black ops in Indochina and was caught by them very quickly after the incident but covered it up out of embarrassment, so I think declassifying documents could solve it
