Women of Reddit, when you’ve been told and believed you’re pretty and perfect all your life and you don’t feel that way anymore, how do you deal with it?

  1. I was bullied over my looks as a child and teen. But when I became conventionally attractive, people telling me I am pretty, never sunk in. It doesn’t click for me. I do accept the compliments graciously though

How I handle it is just accepting myself outside of the way I look

  2. My worth isn’t defined by how I look. My eyes are meant to see, mouth to speak and eat and skin to feel. That’s it.
