To me it feels like going against a moral principle to pay for dating or finding a partner when so many people are able to do it every day… for free…

Has anyone found that paying for these websites actually made a difference?

Also has anyone found better luck with websites like eharmony and OKCupid over traditional apps/ any experience with matchmaking like lunch dates?

  1. You pay to go out and entertain yourself where you may or may not come across someone that’s quiet your time. These services are specifically for this. I feel like you can somewhat filter down and pick and choose what you want. You don’t have to pretend to be attracted to someone or hurt feelings.

  2. I think it depends on your personality type. If you’re an extrovert, I think you’d be better off finding a social gathering. If you’re an introvert, a matchmaker is one way to get human curated matches (asking a friend to set you up is another).
