How do you keep yourself happy and motivated through the week?

  1. Trying to keep everything in proportions. For example I lost a nice pair of gloves. I was annoyed for a moment (no toxic positivity here!!) then told myself it’s really not the end of the world.

  2. I like my work and knowing I have alone time. Plus my bf who can almost always make me smile, he lets me annoy him without getting upset (pinching his nipples or trying to put my fingers in his mouth when he yawns) and put my cold feet on him, I secretly thinks he likes it. And dnd on the weekends.

  3. I tell myself things like “You did well today, and I’m proud of your efforts and progress. Take your time. Don’t worry yourself. Yes, very good. You always do your very best. You know you can handle this, you always do. You did it!” And so on.

  4. I had a coach once tell me “do it anyway” and that’s really stuck with me personally. Whenever I feel myself hitting a lull in motivation I just “but I’m going to do it anyway” to the end. “I don’t feel like studying for this exam…but I’m going to do it anyway”. Might not work for anyone else but it works for me.

  5. Honoring and valuing the small things. Active meditation (I often do this whole watering plants, chopping produce, or washing dishes).
