Flirting or just being supportive?

So a couple days ago I [26F] was hanging out at a guy friend’s [30M] house which is pretty normal for us (both huge introverts). But this time he seemed slightly flirty but I’m not sure if I’m reading into it.

For example, at one point I joked saying I was ugly (saying something to the effect of, “it’s hard being ugly” or something like that) and then he just looked at me intently and said “you’re not ugly…like at all. I can assure you that you’re the farthest thing from ugly.” And he kinda kept repeating that, so much that I felt kind of uncomfortable (not in a creeped out way, but more like a put on the spot/embarrassed way) so I thanked him/said I was joking and changed the subject.

Also during our hangout we kinda stood closer to each other than normal while he showed me stuff, at one point he was kinda running his fingers down my arm pointing out where my veins were (he works in healthcare and we were talking about something medical). To put it into perspective we never touch and have never even hugged or anything.

And yes I do have a bit of a crush on him, and we’re both single, but I don’t want to read into things that may not be there. Does it seem like he may be into me or is he just a good friend?
