Idk if it was over love, but my partner and I decided to prioritize our careers over our relationship for the first few years. We both had careers in different states, so we did long distance for that time. Eventually we decided to move to the same city, but did it in a way that still prioritized our careers and was the best career move for each of us.
I found love very late in fertile life, when I was around forty years old, after being very established in my career. I got to be a “geriatric pregnancy”. I’m going to be sixty when my kid graduates high school.
But my career is good and my professional reputation is established.
With the right person, you won’t have to choose.
