How much money should you have before moving out?

2. Enough to cover your cost of living, plus some for surprise expenses, for several months.

3. I would say enough to support yourself for 3-6 months. You never know what little surprises and unexpected expenses might pop up.

5. As much as you can. If you have the option, try for at least a few months of expenses.
