So I became friends with these guys because we share a common interest which is football (soccer). I don’t mind talking about soccer but I want to become better friends on a personal level. But he doesn’t seem to get my football jokes or such and I haven’t talked to him about anything else other than school work and football. What should I do?

Ask him what his hobbies are, what video games he likes, put on Spotify and let him pick some songs, you can talk about music
