Hey Everyone, I have an eating disorder and I was wondering if anyone knows if there are services in the UK where you can choose from a menu and then they will deliver the food daily to your house. These daily hot meal services were very popular in my country and helped with my ED, but since I moved to the UK I really struggle to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle. I do not wish to go into greater details about my disorder, I am working on it with professionals I just need a company where I can pick food from a menu and they will deliver the meal 5 or 7 times a week.
I tried the meal prep boxes like HelloFresh, tried the frozen meal delivery boxes where you get a bunch of frozen boxes of food and they did not work for me.

Please if you know about a company who provides such a service that would be absolutely amazing!

I live in Cambridgeshire and if they have vegan/vegetarian options that would be great. (Also I am not eligible for “Meals on wheels” unfortunately even though that is what I need)

Thank you so much for the help!

  1. No

Meals on Wheels does not exist here anymore as a free service. It’s been gone for years.

All I can think of for you is using Just Eat or Deliveroo if you want to choose a hot meal and have it delivered to you.

  2. Apetito maybe, but they’re not cheap. Honestly, your best bet is probably something like Uber Eats, you’d just have to order daily.

  3. Definitely worth looking for local private businesses that provide daily hot meals for vulnerable people (or anyone that wants to pay for it). I found a company on Facebook local to my mother who can deliver a hot meal to her door every day for £7 per meal. Google “meals on wheels in [your town]” and you should find what you’re looking for

  4. There are plenty of companies who deliver meals daily to elderly people, such as Wiltshire Farms. I have no experience with them, but they may solve your problem. Google meals for elderly people delivered. Apologies for the fact that you are not elderly, but a service is a service!

  5. I’ve heard this is a common service in India and some friends here use something like this to get Indian food delivered for lunch each day. I don’t know the name of the service but I believe the concept is Tiffin boxes or something like that. They would likely also have vegetarian options
