I got out of a 5 year relationship, waited a year to be open to dating, I downloaded the apps but never clicked with anyone or went out on any dates..deleted the apps…waited a few more months, redownloaded hinge. I met this guy, he works in a similar field as me, had a similar upbringing, went through similar adversity as I have and we shared similar views on everything. I liked him so much. I felt like finally I met someone who I could see myself with. But after about 8 weeks it felt like I was more interested than he was. One day I asked if he was free to get together the next day once I got home from work. He said he was. The day of we exchanged a few of our typical texts( good morning, how’s that day going etc) then I asked what time he wanted to get together later that day and I never heard back from him. I waited 24 hrs and still not a word. I took that as he wasn’t interested and sent a text essentially saying bye and that I wish him the best. He didn’t respond. So I wanted 4 days, sent another text, still nothing, sent one more text a few days later and again, nothing. Now I look desperate huh? I’m a 32(f) I know better than this but damn this guy really got to me. So do we think he’ll ever reach out? I really wish I could hear from him just to find out what the hell happened. Idk.
