So, I (29/F) was chatting with this guy (36/M) for some time until I decided to invite him for a videochat. He agreed and suggested facetime. So, I gave him my number. However, after that, he stopped responding. When I asked him a week after, he said he got too many matches and messages get buried quickly. He also said that he was out of town. He didn’t realize that I sent him my number and felt embarrassed for not responding. He also assured me that he is not ghosting me.

I replied with it’s okay. Not your fault. But thanks for telling me. After that, no reply again for 2 days now.

My question is, is he really interested in me? Or maybe there’s a clue there that signals that I did not stand out. That there are much more interesting women in his chatbox?

I like him coz he seems nice and genuine and passionate about what he’s doing. But I also don’t want to push myself to him if he’s not interested. It’s just that I’m still a newbie to this online dating.

Also, I’m new to this town and he lives an hour away from me.

  1. I feel like based on his actions he is playing games and that you should move on. However, others might disagree with me.

  2. He may be catfish or have a girlfriend. Either way what is doing is red flags, leave him alone! There are most fish in the sea!

  3. Id keep chatting. For me its hard to text people i dont know especially from dating apps but that doesn’t mean im not interested. I am not mot a bug texter and he probably isnt either
