I don’t know why this happens or how i make it happen. Sometimes I’ll just know what to say and I’ll be able to get along with whoever i’m talking to. Usually i’m basically a mute socially and I have no idea what i’m supposed to say, but when this happens I can talk for hours and i’m fucking hilarious. Anyone else have this happen?

  1. This happens with me. When I’m with a group of people who are like me, I’m “totally in my zone”. I know what to say. I know what would make them laugh. I know what would engage the audience.

The other times, when I’m not in my comfort zone or if I know that “this person is wayyy too different than me” I’d just go into a mute listening mode, or sneak out of the back without saying bye.

  2. Happens to me too, from time to time. I think it’s just a result of being comfortable with the environment you’re in. Being comfortable means that you’re less likely to be anxious and overthink.

  3. I think it mainly depends on how confident / comfortable you are with yourself in a group. The more confidence you have the easier to breakout of your shell.
