never worn leather jackets before. 23 year old, 6ft and 185 pounds. I got a size L jacket as a gift. This size fits tightly around my arms and i feel stiff in it which makes wearing it a little uncomfortable.

I bought a size XL same jacket. This size feels comfortable and breathable however it just looks slightly too big around shoulders and goes past my wrists. It has me feeling like im a kid who’s wearing his dads slightly larger clothes.

I’m not sure what to keep.. Am i supposed to feel stiff in it and hope it’ll be better with time? Should i keep the larger one and get it tailored? Is it just shitty leather and i should return or exchange it for a different brand?

  1. I have a leather duster. It is too short on the arms. The edge of the cuff should reach your thumbs knuckle when arms are down at your side. Mine is at my wrist. It sucks.

  2. depending on the material, it will stretch a bit and get better over time. Would be easier to tell with pictures though.

  3. for the style linked i think the large is better suited to your frame as it’ll stretch with wear. it’s meant to fit a lil shorter

  4. Leather jackets should always be just a tad snug at first. If it’s comfy, it’s going to be too big once it loosens up a bit.
