Never have seen it sold anywhere
Local diner here in Central Maine.
But there’s a bunch of restaurants in Maine NH and VT that do decent poutine
Food cart in Portland, OR. You can find just about any kind of food in that city.
I’ve only ever had it in Canada
BottleDog brewpub in Cary, North Carolina.
Never had it. But I’ve had some bangin’ cheese fries at several American establishments.
There was a place in Berkeley called Augie’s Montreal Smoked Meat who made incredible poutine (as well a smoked meat sandwiches) but they closed during the pandemic. Probably the saddest local food loss for me.
I’ve had it from maybe a dozen places in total and that was far better than any other I’ve had.
Embarrassingly one of the better spots was in Disney World. Not in Epcot (although they do have poutine at the Canada pavilion), but there’s a poutine place in Disney springs.
Also, there was a place near me in Pasadena that had poutine – lots of “types” (like basically asada fries) as well as regular poutine. It was really good the only time I had it, but they didn’t last through the pandemic. All other spots near me that I’ve tried are not great.
Other styles of loaded fries tend to be more popular here though – and half the places that claim to have poutine just have loaded fries that happen to also have gravy lol. Then they put a ton of other shit on them.
Banter in Cleveland
Chez Vachon, Manchester, New Hampshire
I don’t like poutine, only had it once
I have never been anyplace that had it on the menu.
Detroit, which probably isn’t a surprise.
I only had it in Canada.
If you want a good recommendation for poutine in Toronto,I can give you one 😉
I think I’ve only ever had it in the US once, and it was at some bar in Seattle that I can’t remember the name of
One eyed Betty’s in Ferndale Michigan. Best ever. Topped with curds, chicken gravy, pork belly, poached egg and chives. Unreal.
Never seen it sold here. Dont think Ive ever had it intentionally.
I haven’t. I’ve been to all but 7 states and have yet to see it or want to try it. Canada can keep that monstrosity.
Providence Rhode Island at a place called the Red Fez which sadly closed.
Littleton, NH. A place called A Vulgar Display of Poutine. And it was. And it was glorious.
Strangely? An indoor water park in Texas
Only had them in Canada -Montreal , it’s okay , don’t really get the hype.
I’ve only ever had it once, at Al’s Oasis near Chamberlin, SD, and it was at the insistence of out-of-state friends.
It was okay.
RIP Palookaville in Avondale Estates. But I don’t think that was true poutine… Thoroughly enjoyed it at Leon’s in Decatur on my 30th birthday, but pretty sure it’s the only poutine I’ve had the opportunity to order in the US.
Vermont
I’ve only had it twice in the US, once in Vermont once in Philly. It was pretty meh in Philly
Burlington, VT. I’m not a fan.
The flavor combination isn’t bad, but I don’t actually want to have extra fat on my fatty fries. I prefer sour, like ketchup or malt vinegar.
Chicago had some decent poutine..so did Wyoming if you can believe it.
