how many old(er) people are there in the government?

  1. If it puts it into perspective; it’s easier to count the number of younger people in our government

  2. In elected positions a lot. As far as I’ve seen there’s more age diversity among bureaucratic employees working for government.

  3. Depends on what you consider in government. Elected officials skew old, but bureaucrats, staffers, and all of the less visible roles tend to be younger.

  4. We keep about 10% of our senior citizens within the government. Septagenerarians in the Capitol Building, 80 year olds on the National Mall, and for our 100s, the Pentagon.
