The idea of what is perceived as cool is subjective, but the trait of being cool is another thing. Coolness excudes a sort of confidence, one where it’s not forced.

I think a lot of it has to do with needing 0 external validation whatsoever, and having no concern about the thoughts of others, what do you guys think?

  1. In my experience, it’s the lack of needing validation more than anything. I think not caring what people think is conflated with approval seeking. Because I do care what people think. I want to know what they think. I want to see the things they see that I miss.

  2. I think a cool person is relaxed and goes with the flow. They don’t get agitated or angry over things that are unimportant. They can get along with anybody because they treat everyone with respect and kindness.
