Whenever I get my period, I always get really angry/irritated and almost always destroy, or get very close to destroying, my relationships. Is there any advice on how I can stop doing this?

  1. PMDD. Talk to your doctor. The lowest dosage of an SSRI will help greatly. I was so shocked at the difference a tiny dose made- not just with my mood swings but also with cramps and overall period discomfort.

    I also use a period tracker and when I feel that irrational anger or sadness coming on I check the tracker and it is always 2 days before I’m supposed to start. So I warn my husband “I am 2 days away from my period and everything you say or do is either going to piss me off or make me cry” 🤭 he will ask “is it better if I’m right here or should I go find something to do?”

    This helps us a lot!

  2. I forgot to add the depressive episodes that it causes. And the fatigue. Man do I love being a woman (-_-)
