I finished watching The Rehearsal on HBO and thought the first episode was the perfect match for this sub!

*Nathan Fielder (comedian) stars as the director of rehearsals, which are elaborately staged scenarios re-creating parts of ordinary people’s lives that are ment to help them prepare for a big moment in their lives. A construction crew, a legion of actors and seemingly unlimited resources all come together to allow ordinary people who apply to rehearse for these moments by giving them the opportunity to play them out in carefully crafted simulations of Fielder’s own design.*

Episode 1 follows a man on the autism spectrum who has applied to rehearse the disclosure of a big secret he’s been keeping from someone on his pub quiz team. I thought it was so endearing and relatable! I always see posts about conversation maps and the director makes him the most absurdly detailed one. It does a great job at showing just how much we build up difficult conversations because of anxiety.
