I’m in my first ever relationship and I’m so in love. But I’ve been hearing about the honeymoon phase, and pardon my naivety, I’m a little scared of it being over some day. I really like how I’m feeling towards him. What does this phase ending feel like? Is it actually a thing that happens in every relationship?

  1. It’s something that certainly happens in a lot of relationships. I don’t know the stats so I won’t say it happens in every relationship but it’s likely to happen in most. You probably won’t be able to pinpoint the exact moment it happens. It’s something that occurs gradually over time as you become more comfortable with eachother. I think some people are better at prolonging the honeymoon phase more than others. I wouldn’t be afraid of it. Look at it as a positive and just strive to be good to eachother and never stop appreciating eachother. That’s how you keep the spark alive.
