  2. Is she a mail order bride or something? Kinda weird that the first time she meets your friends is when you’re already married.

    When they do, hold her in your arms and say, “Because this is the joy I’ve been searching for all my life!” Make her feel special and get the picture out to the world that you are thrilled!

    (I got remarried at the age of 50 and when I showed my engagement ring; everyone said, are you losing your mind? Why give up the alimony? Don’t you like being free? It hurt that only one person said congratulations.)

  8. My husband gets asked this question by his friends/coworkers I first meet all the time. He gets a lot of the whole ‘how tf did you manage to get her?’

    My friends/coworkers never dare to ask me the about ‘why him?’ because one look would say enough that I don’t play when it comes to my husband. And the few times someone has, I said ‘what do you mean?’ And trying to explain made them feel stupid. I then stopped speaking to them altogether
