I’ve been talking to this girl for roughly a week. Before this we had been friends briefly for years ago, but circumstances and life pushed us apart (nothing too exciting, usual life shit). Conversation has been flowing well I’d say, BUT she is very slow to reply and in fact hasn’t replied in nearly two days. I know she’s got a lot going on at the moment, and her replies are always lengthy and engaging, but I’m not sure what to do now.
Part of me wants to message her and ask her out, but then a part of me is worried about coming across as desparate. What would you do?

a week is too long to not have meet up at least once. unless its like both of you have insane schedules.
How does asking someone out on a date come across as “desperate”? How do you think people get dates?
