  1. Randall Pearson (Sterling K Brown) in This Is Us. The character is very realistic of father worries, concern for family and his daughters and his career/home life. Also I really liked that he had open conversations and sat down with his daughters to talk about concerning issues. He also was able to listen to his daughters especially when he was being over protective and to be less protective with them especially as they grew up and he understood that. His character had his own emotional struggles which he eventually sought help and went to therapy for. His character allowed to see from his point of view too as being a man and a father and wanting the best for his family.

  2. This is a difficult question as there are many examples of good dads in movies and tv. Some of the best examples include: Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird, Andy Taylor from The Andy Griffith Show, Dr. Huxtable from The Cosby Show, and Tim Taylor from Home Improvement.

  3. Bob Belcher! He loves and supports all of his kids conditionally, even if he finds their hobbies weird.

For example, in regard to Tina’s erotic friend fiction, even if listening to explicit stuff makes him a bit uncomfortable, he never discourages her from writing or shames her.

When Gene was overwhelmed at the laser light show, he didn’t make Gene feel bad for wanting to leave even though it was his birthday. Then he went above and beyond and helped to get him through it.

Then Louise, his youngest baby who he has a special bond with. They have too many cute moments to list.

  4. 1. 1. Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird 2. Andy Taylor from The Andy Griffith Show 3. Ward Cleaver from Leave It to Beaver 4. Mike Brady from The Brady Bunch 5. Tim Taylor from Home Improvement

  5. Alan Matthew from boy meets world. Even thought he barely gets big moments he does have those moments you just love him as a dad.

Examples: when his son (Cory) once he graduated from high school he instantly married his girlfriend. Of course Cory insisted to his parents that he is a grown adult and not a kid to let him marry his girlfriend which they let him.

Soon once the two go married, they had money problems, home problems and more and Cory came to his parents asking for money and help. Alan soon gave Cory a reality check telling him, he and his mom can’t always help him and he needs to grow up which is what Cory wanted when he got married.

    Here is the clip:

    Second:

One of Cory’s best-friend (Shawn) was having family issues and complications in life. (He grew in a pretty harsh world) Soon Shawn joined a cult making Shawn be careless and brainwashed. Soon one of Shawn’s teacher (who was basically his father figure) got into a motorcycle accident and was in the hospital. Shawn soon didn’t want to face his teacher and wanted to leave with his Cult leader but Alan stopped him also telling the cult leader to leave Shawn alone with one of Shawn’s other teacher (Mr Feeny) as they both didn’t like what the leader was telling Shawn.

There was many more moments that Alan showed making the viewers just admired from his son drinking, breakup, jobs, the world and more. 10/10

Cyrus, Blair’s stepdad from Gossip Girl!!!! (played by Wallace Shawn)

Henry Spencer, Shawn’s dad from Psych!!!! (played Corbin Bernsen)

  7. Soichiro Yagami from Death Note. Kind man who cares about his family and, wants to protect them and broader Japan from Kira. He was my second favourite character in the entire anime.
