So I’m 14 and although I’m not overly confident I’m definitely not overconfident. However when I’m talking to people who aren’t in my close circle (eg friends, family) I blush bright red. The weird thing is I’m not unconfident, I don’t have other symptoms like getting tounge tied or sweaty, just blushing which in turn is causing me to become less confident and trying to avoid talking to new people. I’ve tried different solutions like diverting my mind or allowing it to come on but those made things worse. I even tried meditation for a few weeks but that did not help. I’m starting to think maybe it’s skin related because I’m naturally quite red but why does it become stronger when I’m talking to different people if I’m not that embarrassed. The issue is the more this happens the more unconfident I am starting to get which is really hurting my social life. I’ve also recently started to get butterflies in my stomach when talking to people that aren’t close to me but it’s not that I’m worried about the social situation, it’s that I’m worried about blushing. Does anyone have any potential solutions?

  1. Learn to love it because it’s actually not off putting to anyone and though I get at your age you will feel a little aware of is but learn to love it and know it’s going to happen and it really has nothing to do with how confident you will be in life , own it and love yaself for it because who ever you talk too will like and respect you all the same

  2. Own it. Because a person who is attracted to YOU will say “oh my God, I love how you blush”

Anyone who is not attracted to you, their opinions don’t matter. What they think of your blushing is none of your business.

Think of it as a super power for filtering out jerks from your life.
