I have a friend I was speaking to recently who is born in Dec, she said she was going to be seeing another friend this month because their birthdays are two days apart. What she doesn’t know is I have another friend who knows this person and she celebrates her birthday in July. I haven’t always had the best of friends and I can’t decide if this is a little white lie to dismiss or something I should pay attention to as a red flag. What should I do?

What was the larger context? Was she just telling you what she was planning for the month, or was she avoiding/canceling plans with you?
Why does it have to be a lie? Just because the other friend doesn’t officially celebrate until July doesn’t mean they aren’t hanging out to celebrate your friend’s.
Regardless, this does not seem concerning to me either way. Ask her to do something when she’s back.
I have a friend whose birthday is in late December and they instead celebrate their half birthday because otherwise gets lost in the holidays….
You could ask her about it casually, I definitely wouldn’t come at her like she’s lying though. It could just be a weird birthday situation for her being born close to the holidays
