Our cat, previously an enthusiastic mouser, has not brought in any for several months. Neighbours report that their cats also seem to have sworn off mice or cannot find any. This is in Bath with wooded areas close by.
Anywhere else where the mice appear to have left? Should I be looking out for Vogons?

Fingers crossed the mice are planning a much overdue counter offensive.
I’m taking a wild guess here, but maybe the cats have killed them all?
They evolved into rats, and they are bloody everywhere.

Maybe. Perhaps the Vogons read them some poetry and the mice gnawed themselves to death.
Dunno but found a note the other day saying “so long and thanks for all the cheese”
I think my cat has been catching them all. She brought me one at 3.30am the other day.
(More seriously, I suspect it may be the time of year – fewer inexperienced baby mice, more incentive for the cats to stay inside where it’s warm and dry)
I think they all went West
Sometimes mice. Sometimes no mice. All normal.
My Mouser brought one to the back door yesterday also unfortunately a Goldfinch too.
We’ve had two brought in by our cat as temporary tenants in the last three weeks, no problems here in the North East
My dog used to bring all sorts of wild animals home from his nightly hunting antics, but now he just shits in the neighbours gardens instead.
They’re in my house. Outsmarting my dog.
the cats are going vegetarian
