So I have a good friend’s wedding coming up next fall and I was asked to be one of the groomsmen. For his bachelor party, I’ve been thinking about reaching out to a particular standup comedian from the Indy area (very close to where we all live), and for context this dude happens to have around 130k followers on IG. I’m thinking that, ideally, it’d be awesome to somehow get him to show up at the bachelor party in the fall, if only for a very short amount of time. I suppose that getting tickets to do a meet-and-greet would be cool too, but the idea of him showing up as a total surprise would just be awesome, and with the BP a ways off from now, I feel like *maybe* this could be a possibility.
So anyways, I’m wondering where exactly I should start in trying to reach out to him. Should I have multiple groomsmen reach out, or just one of us? Also is this ever really a thing, to actually get a celebrity with a decent-ish following to show up to an event?
P.S. A couple of us actually happened to run into him in downtown Indy a few years ago, which I doubt he would remember well but could maybe work in our favor perhaps lol.
