Phillips 8 in 1 beard trimmer
If we are talking manscaping — Philips bodygroom for areas I want smooth. And a beard trimmer / all in one trimmer that comes with different guards, heads, etc to trim the rest.
GilletteLabs Heated Razor
I use the Philips oneblade, the version with screen and auitable for the body. I use it for the entire body and it works perfectly well. He wouldnhave to trim a longer beard free hand though which might be difficult.
I’ve had a beard for 13 years at this point, and tried a number of different shavers. Andis is hands down the best brand for any shaver, trimmer, etc. Whatever you get him though, what’s just as important is making sure he cleans and oils it. I oil mine after every use, and take it apart to clean maybe once every 2 months? It’s just as good now as when I bought it 4 years ago
Phillips multigroom 5000 series (or 3/7000 depending on how much you want to pay/attachments he wants)
I shave my head, so I use a Gillette ProGlide razor for that; to trim, I have a Schick razor that has the electric trimmer at the bottom: the blades are long gone but the trimmer is quite good.
Gilette blades can be expensive, but I usually get about three months out of a cartridge. Gilette will say to replace them monthly, but that’s a farce. WIth a good shave gel, they work fantastic, even when the strip at the top is wearing out.
