Days earlier he invited me to his birthday to go out on Friday night. I said yes.

On that day, I took the train to come to the town where I am staying to my family house. But the thing is that I couldn’t bother to come to his birthday, it was cold outside , I was tired. I just wanted to lay on my bed and relax for the whole evening and night.

I didn’t want to argue with him or tell him that I could not bother to come. He wasn’t alone anyway. So I just put my phone on “do not disturb” mode. I didn’t tell warn him that I wias not xoming.

At midnight he messaged me saying that I was very rude for not coming.

I know I am a prick for what I did. I honestly feel bad about it. How do I ask him forgiveness?

  1. Yeah what you did is not good. You gotta tell them know. And also why would he argue? It’s your choice if you go to his birthday. Even my own cousins don’t go to my birthdays sometimes cuz they go with their friends or maybe just don’t feel like it that day. Maybe he would of understand you too.

I think you could tell him that you are genuinely sorry and tell him you didn’t want to argue so you put it on do not disturb. You could say you didn’t want to argue so he can enjoy his birthday, hopefully he understands.

  3. It doesn’t really matter how you ask. The question is, are you a good friend and this is just a blip that won’t happen again, or not? You should know the truth of it.
