Do I shoot my shot?

So I (23f) recently went on a solo trip to a relatively nearby city (about 5 hours) for my birthday. I was there for 4 days and on the first day I started swiping on tinder hoping that I’d match with someone to get drinks with while I was there. Well I matched with this one guy (26m) and we instantly connected on our date. I have not laughed so hard on a date in a while and I felt so comfortable opening up and talking to him. The chemistry between us was unreal and that’s something we both made comments on. We ended up spending 2 nights together and we both made comments about how 5 hours isn’t that bad. But here’s the thing we haven’t talked since I got home. I sent him a message saying that I got home safe and thanking him for a fun weekend. He responded also thanking me for a fun weekend and how he hoped that it was a good first trip to this city. I said back that I definitely had to come and explore more parts of the city that I didn’t get to this last time. But that’s it, I haven’t heard from him since. I want to send him a message but I don’t know what to say because what if he isn’t texting me because he wasn’t that interested in me? I also want to see him again and I want to invite him up for New Years but I don’t know if I should. So should I shoot my shot with him?
