What is the perceived personality of a person driving an aston martin in comparison to other luxury cars?

  1. Nobody thinks an Aston Martin is expensive. Even though it is. If it’s not a Red Ferrari, nobody cares

  2. It really depends on a number of factors. A lot of used Aston’s are not that expensive – I mean it is no camry, especially with maintenance, but you can get a decent looking one for the price of a loaded camry. A lot of new ones depreciate rather quickly, which influences my view in another way.

It also depends on the luxury car that we are comparing it against, newer or used, etc.

  3. I just think “oh look an Aston Martin”, I don’t think about the owners personality 💀

  4. Probably someone who is quiet and discreet but proud, they likely sold a business after years of hard work and this is a present to themselves

  5. I automatically assume that people who spend money on something that only depreciates, is probably bad with money.

  6. I mostly just wonder what was the thought process that led to that car purchase.

It’s not that Aston’s are terrible cars, but if you’re shopping for one, there are other cars I’d consider from almost every standpoint.

    1 – Performance – Corvette or GT-R
    2 – European performance – 911 or R8
    3 – British coupe – Bentley Continental
    4 – European coupe – Mercedes S

I think all of those are better cars, are comparable to maintain and more people see them and know what they are.

I figure most people driving Astons want something British, but I wonder why they didn’t get the Bentley. Those things are gorgeous even if they’ve looked basically the same for 20 years.

  7. I’ve met some solid people that drive high end cars, and some assholes so I don’t really make assumptions of people off the car they drive anymore.

  8. I just know they’re rich. I’ve also learned that rich people can have varying personalities. Met some who are very humble, down to earth AF people. While others think that the sun shines out their butthole
