Funny to see this question, I have thought about this a few times recently.
I can’t remember hearing him say my name ever but I imagine he had to introduce me to his family and friends by my name. Surely he calls me by my name when I’m not around, lol.
I use his real name every day.
We exclusively use our real names, or a shortened version of our real names. Neither of us are into pet names.

he never calls me by my name and if he ever does it will be his last day on earth đź’€
We never use pet names
I never use per names for him. He’ll use them for me maybe 1/3rd of the time. All the classic pet names in Germany (Schatz(i), Liebling, Maus or, *shudder* Babe/Baby) evoke bad afternoon TV romance for my ears. My husband has therefore figured out his own pet names for me but I never found anything that fit him better than his name.
We refer to each other by name to friends etc but very rarely call each other by each other’s name. I do every once in a while and he acts so hurt by it lol.
We use our real names.
Rarely, like maybe once a month if that.
I’ve never been a pet name/nickname type person (friends, SOs, whatever). The only thing besides my husband’s name that I call him is Husband and he typically calls me Wife. We’ll often go for “my love” which goes for our 6 year old as well. I feel like most of our “pet names” go for each other and our kid. Love of my life, my love, darling (that one is usually sarcasm).
Our pets get nicknames more than anything. Philip is Phillipe navidog, Mortimer is “the big one” and Lila is “the brain dead one”.
In my previous LTR, my ex and I mainly referred to each other by pet names unless we were referring to each other in conversation or we were having a serious conversation (argument or emotional).
I am now in a new relationship and it really caught me off guard when he referred to me directly by my name so often. Idk why it “bothered” me. Ik it’s silly cause that’s my name but idk. Does anyone else feel this way?
My husband never calls me by my first name, just terms of endearment. But I do call him by his every now and again. It’s an ethnic name and I love it
We both call each other by shortened versions of our full first names, that everyone else also uses.
Pet names are for when we want to playfully annoy each other.
Our full first names are for either when we are being sarcastic or having a tender loving moment. No inbetween.
