how do you respond to being catcalled/followed in public? and if you feel comfortable, share your experiences

1. Depends how it is done.

   Staring- keep eye contact until they stop

   Words- tell them to say it to their mother or to tell them to get lost in a direct way

   Whistles/Shouting- phone to my ear and tell them I’m calling the police

   I was never followed for a long distance before usually just from one side of room to another and I just tell them to back up. If I was followed down a street or for longer I would call the police instantly and/or go into a shop and ask to stay for a bit.

   Writing this is sad.
