I realise that a lot of guys my age play video games and so if I were to talk about it with them it would give me another thing to relate to them about.

It also means I could play online with them and chat.

Any suggestions?

    Not even trying to gatekeep, here. I used to be a huge gamer, but stopped because it was getting me nowhere

    I’d get into a more productive and less lame hobby, like sports or something

If you want to relate with gamers who grew up playing in that era give final fantasy 7, 10, Devil may cry, god of war 1 – ragnorok, call of duty, Pokémon black, diamond, ruby and fire red, super smash bro ultimate, guilty gear, Star Wars the force unleashed, mortal kombat, persona 5, splinter cell, far cry 3 and gta as a gamer who’s 21 these are the games I like but everyone’s gonna be different I recommend you try these and if you like them you like them games are a really fun entertainment medium But not all games are for everyone so remember to try different games I recommend you get something like game pass if your on Xbox, humble bundle if your on pc and ps+ if your on PlayStation as these services give you 100s of games for free I also recommend you carefully look into a research emulators as they will allow you to simulate older consoles and games for free I recommend you avoid anything online for now unless you know anyone irl who wants to play as randoms will bully you souring the experience especially if your new because you most likely won’t know what your doing and they will get mad at you for it feel free to dm me if you want someone to play with or guide you and I’ll let you add me
