Started being more empathetic and self aware
Reading on it, therapy (probably biggest one), dating wonderful women, and just recognizing it feels good to feel things.
As a child my emotions were an inconvenience to my parents and their response to inconvenience was punishment. After I moved out I eventually spent enough time with people who didn’t see my emotions as being a problem that I felt safe expressing them again.
Also therapy and a boatload of MDMA and mushrooms.
As a kid i felt like i had to not be emotional since i grew up around emotional people. didnt wan’t to make an already bad situation worse by making everyone worry about the sad kid too
Shit I’ve been emotional my whole life. I think that’s one of the great joys of being a human is exploring your emotions.
