Those who weren’t emotional growing up and then later changed. What caused that change?1

  1. Reading on it, therapy (probably biggest one), dating wonderful women, and just recognizing it feels good to feel things.

  2. As a child my emotions were an inconvenience to my parents and their response to inconvenience was punishment. After I moved out I eventually spent enough time with people who didn’t see my emotions as being a problem that I felt safe expressing them again.

    Also therapy and a boatload of MDMA and mushrooms.

  3. As a kid i felt like i had to not be emotional since i grew up around emotional people. didnt wan’t to make an already bad situation worse by making everyone worry about the sad kid too

  4. Shit I’ve been emotional my whole life. I think that’s one of the great joys of being a human is exploring your emotions.
