so i was gonna masturbate and i usually use a glove to ‘prep myself’ and lubricate my toys to stay sanitary, and so i did my thing and then i went to throw away the glove when i saw what looked like a live maggot on it. i’ve been sexually active once in the last two weeks and i’ve masterbated a lot and i’ve seen no other bugs, i’m very scared, what should i do?

  1. Was it *definitely* alive? Did you unambiguously see it crawling around? Or did you just have a brief impression of a live bug before you destroyed it?

  2. Call your doctor. Now. There is no way around it. Ask them what they recommend in the meantime before the appointment (eg. douche, do nothing).

  3. It sounds like a Thread worm, a parasite the is in your digestive system. It might have migrated from your anus to you vagina on its own, or from wiping the wrong way. PSA: Always wipe front to back! Go see a doctor either way.
This is also know as a”pin worm”

  4. What the others are saying. But also funny anecdote:
I was cooking with a friend and she was cutting some chillies with gloves on (we are both vegetarian) and when she’s finished she notices that there where 2 maggot like things on the cutting board. She freaked out and cut another batch.

After cleaning up I went to put the box with the gloves away and I noticed that there where moths and larvae on the inside of the box.

So if you have a dispenser like box (like the one they usually have in the doctor’s office), go check your gloves.

  5. There is a good chance it is a pinworm (Threadworm in the UK) – a parasite also known as enterobiasis. Easily treated, but you should see your doctor. When my daughter was not long out of diapers, I remember that she had them in her rectum and they made their way to her vagina.

Don’t worry – it is an easily treated infection, but you should see your doctor.

  6. Don’t be surprised if you shit out a butterfly in the next few days.

In all seriousness though, I’d see a doctor immediately.

  7. Most likely a pin worm. Have you noticed any itchiness around your anus? My daughter got these a couple times as a kid. Cleared up with a prescription medication.

  8. Do you have a cat? You can get worms from cats if they come in direct contact with infected feces or soil.

  9. Threadworms/pinworms are very thin, like thread. And would have come from your anus area. Tho as someone else suggested, if it was plump like a maggot it is more likely an Indian Meal Moth larvae from the box of gloves. I like to research parasites as a hobby.

  10. You don’t need to use gloves to masturbate. I’d eliminate that as a possibility moving forward.

  11. you say a bug, some would call it a feature

jk, but definitely could be from eating dirt…

  12. I work in the medical field, and have heard horror stories of maggots needing to be vacuumed out of vaginas in the ER. It does happen. Idk how but it does. I’d remain calm but see a doctor asap.
