What do you love or hate most about press on nails?

  1. I haven’t really used any in a decade or two, but all fake nails make my sense of touch for my hands feel blunted and clumsy, so I just go with my own nails instead.

  2. I rarely do much of anything with my nails. I keep them neat and clean, but that’s about it. My work involves me having my hands inside machines a lot of the time, so painting them or keeping them long is futile for me. But I will do press ons for special occasions.

The most recent was my sister’s wedding. They looked cute, but I had an awful time trying to adjust anything with my dress or shape wear. I ended up taking them off once the ceremony and pictures were all finished.

  3. I used them when I tried to stop biting my nails when I was 19. They also allowed me to do nail art of them before pressing them on (a task that’s significantly more difficult to do on real attached nails; I usually just paint mine black).

I only used them for a few months to unlearn my nail biting habit and give my real nails a chance to grow so I don’t feel insecure about them, but this trick ended up working really well; I haven’t had the urge to bite my nails since + they grow nice, strong and long now.

  4. I don’t like them but I’m pretty hard on my fingers and they would come off very easily. At least they did the last time I tried them, which is easily over 20 years ago.

  5. Ive never been good at having fake nails in general. I cant really function with them properly. They feel like a barrier to everything lol.
