I dated one last 7 months. Not ideal scenario as he was going through divorce. He randomly ended things with me after an amazing trip. He keeps saying personal stuff and we are not speaking. I am not sure if he is in dismissive or fearful avoidant category (probably fearful). And am wondering if they ever circle back later?

With all due respect, move on. Life’s way to short to be worried about someone who *might* come back when someone out there will stay with you right now.
They’re probably doing you a favour. What if they come back and leave again in another 7 mos? Does that sound like a fulfilling relationship?
He may very well come back however they will get triggered eventually and leave again unless they’ve done the work to cope with his default response of running away.
That kind of people are never fully in but never fully out either. He sounds like the kind of person who will probably get back in touch and play havoc with your feelings,not because he is a bad guy (which I can’t know) but because he sounds emotionally unavailable.
