2. The Children’s Hour

   I think about this film more than any person should think of a film. It’s a gorgeously shot William Wyler production. It’s got some great performances, especially Shirley MacLaine’s. It’s also a great introduction to queer films made under the Hayes Code and really perfects queer coding. It is a difficult film and should probably come with a little bit of a trigger warning, but it’s a truly important film in its context that I wish more people would watch.
