How old are you and what age would you prefer to date?

  1. 42, married but if I were single I’d date +/- 10 years my age as long as we have things in common and good chemistry.

  2. 35.

I couldn’t see dating below mid twenties. I’d have no issues dating a woman in her 40s either.

  3. 16 and the age I would prefer to date is the age where I am ready. Relationships are a commitment and I don’t think I am ready for one

  4. I was 23 and just escaping from a codependency trap my ex set for me. I decided I wouldn’t date anyone older and nobody more than a year younger than me. Two weeks later I met the woman who’s still sharing my life 26 years later and she was 7 years younger than me (it’s legal here, I’ve had the conversation, drop it)

The more barriers you set, and the more rigidly you stick to them, the more opportunities you miss.

  5. In my mid to late 30s, my preference would be 30+ but I’d go as low as late 20s if our lifestyle preferences matched up enough. I’m married so it doesn’t really matter

  6. I’m 36 and I’m happily single. But if I were to date someone, if they were 30 (and I think that is pushing it) – 40ish.

  7. I’m 39. My ideal age range would be 35-43, but would be willing to go down to late 20s or up to late 40s if we had truly amazing chemistry.

  8. I am in my late 20s, and I prefer to date men who 5-7 years older than me, and women around my age or older. Maybe about 10 years older

  9. 24, I would like to date someone older than me because below my age range is hard to find a keeper

  10. 24 myself and ~22-30. I’ve went through so much shit in my late teens and early twenties (debt, depression, homelessness etc.) that i cant deal with how immature a lot of the “just started uni, living on parents dime” crowd generally are.

  11. I wish these kinds of questions were asked in more dating centric subs. It seems like this is 75% of /r/askmen
