I am going from Swansea to Stansted Airport and I have clue what to do with my luggage. When I bought the coach tickets I did not expect to take so much stuff and, therefore, I didn’t buy any extra luggage with the ticket. I am bringing two large 20kg suitcases. Do they ask you to pay extra for them on the day of travel, and if yes, how much? Thanks

  1. 2 medium and 1 large suitcase allowed. Any extra will be charged. You will have to buy for one extra suitcase. I think should be around £10-£15 and it’s cheaper if you buy before the travel day, price also depends on the route. Login to your account by accessing the booking and you should be able to buy extra baggage on your ticket.

Most importantly yes they do check if you have paid for extra baggage.

  2. Driver here:

Personally speaking, I don’t mind people getting on with a an extra bag or 2. The problem lies when you’re on an airport run where everyone else has bags too.

Picture this: 1 driver, 20+ passengers to deal with at each stop, every one of those 20 passengers have 2-3 bags each with that “one extra bag” that hasn’t been paid for yet weighs more than the other 2.

Repeating this over a 10-14 hour shift with 2-3 stops in between will honestly wear you out. Remind yourself why you chose to use the airport trolley to transport your bags to the coach instead of carrying them 🙂.
