My parents are impossible to buy for, but they’re now in their twilight years and seeming to enjoy their days out.

As they’re very much the type of people not to “cause a fuss”, and so don’t ask for anything at Christmas, I’d like to get them a gift of vouchers so that they can choose their own present.

Problem is I’ve no idea which companies do this, and do it well, as they’ve always arranged this themselves. So I’m coming to Reddit! Which travel companies would you recommend for coach trips?

Thank you.

  1. I’d get them a couple catelogues and a card saying you’ll pay £x. There’s some very nice rail tour companies (some leave mags in supermarkets), don’t know about coaches.
How about agreeing that for the next trip they arrange, you’ll cover a dinner or afternoon tea, and you’ll book that for them?

  2. A local travel agent will know the local operators who will probably (hopefully) be better than the national operators.
