At what point do you need to go to the doctor/hospital for period pains?

  1. Not female but a first aider. If there is a lot of bleeding, if you might have been pregnant, if you are going into shock (pale cold clammy skin and racing heart), or of course if the pain is too much.

  2. If you have a period, you have the right to see a gynecologist just because. Then you can ask that person for help and assess the pain.

  3. If any pain is unmanageable with normal OTC medicines you should go to a doctor, especially if frequent and long-lasting.
