What do you eat for Christmas dinner?

  1. We are doing breakfast at both family’s “dinner.” More of a brunch really. Biscuits and gravy at one. Casserole and pancakes at the other. Should be dope. I’m stoked.

  2. Nothing special the last couple years, might be going to a new place this year so we’ll see what they’re having

  3. I think ham is going to be the main dish on Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve we’re going to a restaurant and I think having roast with the in-laws Friday night.

  4. We do Christmas at my Italian-American in-laws where it will be chicken parmesan, lasagna, sausage and peppers, etc.

  5. I like a big ole plate of existential dread knowing that my holiday spirit will never be like it was when I was a kid, and also those little hawaiian bread rolls. I can eat all of them and I often do

  6. Our family doesn’t do a formal dinner, we do a bonanza of appetizers and small plates and desserts and snacks. No theme, just bring your best. It’s so much better than a sit-down dinner.

  7. Christmas day is usually a ham or a roast.

Christmas Eve Italian seafoods pastas, meats etc.

    Always my wife’s famous sangria.

  8. Breakfast/lunch is our big meal on Christmas. Chorizo and egg burritos and bloody marys and my SIL and BILs house. Always delicious.

  9. Marco’s Pizza on christmas eve. On Christmas day I’m always back home by dinner time though we usually do some big lunch that could be anything.

  10. Christmas Eve, I do pizza and reese’s cups

Christmas day, kinda similar to Thanksgiving but less sides and more of a focus on Ham instead of turkey.

  11. Christmas dinner is always at my mom’s house. It’s usually some type of appetizer (varies every year), salad (also varies), corn chowder, prime rib, homemade bread and butter, two sides and two desserts (they also vary). There’s stuff that shows up fairly frequently, but she likes to try out new recipes a lot so there’s a decent amount of variation.

I make Christmas Eve dinner every year for friends and family that live in my area. There’s some variation there too. This year’s menu is:

    Charcuterie

    Eggnog

Salad with wine-poached cranberries, goat cheese, and pine nuts

    Lobster bisque

Homemade ham with bourbon orange glaze

    Sourdough bread with compound butters

Brussels sprouts gratin with pancetta and asiago

    Butternut squash risotto

    White forest cake

  12. Feast of Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve, lasagna or chicken/veal parmigiana on Christmas day.

  13. ham, scalloped potatoes, and green beans make an appearance every year. additional sides and dessert may vary

  14. Prime rib christmas eve.
Christmas day is an assortment of candy and snacks while wearing sweats

  15. Looks like we’re getting smoked turkey and tri-tip this year. But it varies from year to year. Like, what are we in the mood for?
