It never used to be an issue, so I’m sure it’s because I have a toddler and a baby so my hands are constantly wet.

I try to take my rings off when I wash and put them back on when they’re dry. I wind up forgetting my rings which is also annoying.

I have to take my rings off and do hydrocortisone cream for a couple weeks and wait for my finger to heal. It just sucks cuz I want to wear my wedding rings.

Does anyone else deal with this? Is there anything else I can do?

  1. Could be allergies. You can become allergic to anything at any time. I got rashes with my wedding ring because I didn’t know tungsten rings were finished with trace amount of nickle (which is what I’m allergic to)

  2. Yes I do. Take it off for a few weeks and treat with hydrocortisone. Once the rash is completely cleared (no trace left) then try the rings again. This works for me!

  3. Could be too snug of a fit. I am currently in a cycle of taking my ring off for the same reason. And my daily wear ring was a silicone ring since I weightlift daily (and would no doubt lose my expensive ring). I don’t take it off for hand washing or showering, but I’m only doing those an average number of times. Funny thing is the rash didn’t happen when the ring was a little bigger (but it kept slipping off), only when I went down a size. This is why I suspect my problem is down to the fit and not material or wetness.
