The “Where’s George” experiment

As a guy who’s struggled with socializing and meeting people, I had an interesting idea one day. As a kid I always used to be an active member on a site that still exists, WheresGeorge.com, basically it let’s you track money, and see who it ends up going to. An anomaly on a dollar is something people notice right away, and immediately garners attention and curiosity. So, what I decided to do was a bit different. I registered about $10 in $1 bills and wrote on each of them a burner phone number I made and my first name only, and so far 3 people have hit me up, and we’re still talking. This experiment has proved to be a success. If you’re having trouble getting your contact info out there, why not create a burner number, only like 99 cents a month, and put yourself out there, literally on dollar bills? Lol. I don’t think anyone besides me is doing this. It eliminates any creepiness associated with in person approaches, and adds a great deal of curiosity to the situation, all plusses in my book. Give it a shot if you have nothing but money to lose, which is something we all lose.
